The New Constitution Plus the Old
Thomas Thomson
Those of us who are self-educated—and therefore understand the predatory elements that insidiously infect capitalism—are obligated by compassion to legislate into law the Supreme Principles of Ethical Economic Democracy (SPEED) to establish economic justice for all. The bright must—and can—abolish poverty, lest the malignancy destroy us all. Thomas Thomson, Circa 2001

Woe are the poor! For the grief they inherit is aggravated a thousand-fold by the never-ending agonies of poverty.
Woe are the poor! For their relief is locked forever deep in the hearts of their predators.
Woe are the poor! For they inherit all the misery of the Earth.
Thomas Thomson, Circa 1981

Worshipping the “growth” principle as the beacon to establish and maintain full employment and price stability is the fallacy of modern economics. It is consuming Earth’s resources at an alarming rate, stimulating overpopulation, and benefits mostly the plutocrats, aristocrats, and bureaucrats only in the short run when measured against milleniums. Stewardship of Earth’s resources and an economic policy predicated on morality—established with the legislation of ethical economic principles as proposed by the Supreme Principles of Ethical Economic Democracy (SPEED)—alone will provide long-term full employment and price stability.
